Welcome to the SlopThing community! We're here to explore, critique, and celebrate AI-generated content together. These guidelines help keep our community vibrant and respectful.
Be Respectful & Constructive
Zero ToleranceCritique the work, not the person. Disagree thoughtfully. No personal attacks, harassment, doxxing, or hate speech of any kind.
Always Credit Your Tools
ImportantShare the model, tool, and prompt (or a summary) you used. Transparency is what makes this community valuable. Claiming AI work as hand-made is not allowed.
Search Before Posting
GuidelineCheck if your topic already exists. Duplicate threads clutter the forum and split the conversation.
Stay On Topic
GuidelinePost in the right channel. General discussion goes in Lounge, showcase pieces in Gallery Reviews, technical questions in their respective channels.
No Spam, Self-Promotion, or Low-Effort Posts
ImportantDon't post purely to drive traffic elsewhere. Share genuinely useful content. "Check out my tool" posts belong in the Tools directory, not the forums.
Legal Content Only
Zero ToleranceDon't post content that infringes copyright, violates someone's likeness rights, or is illegal. When in doubt, don't post.
Report, Don't Retaliate
GuidelineIf you see a rule violation, use the Report button. Don't engage — our moderators will handle it. Vigilante moderation creates more problems than it solves.
Help New Members
GuidelineEveryone starts at Trust Level 0. Be patient with newcomers. Answer questions, offer guidance, and remember you were new once too.
🌟Trust Levels
Our trust system rewards consistent, positive participation. New members start at Level 0 (New) and can advance through Level 1 (Reader), Level 2 (Member, can create threads), Level 3 (Regular, expanded privileges), and Level 4 (Leader, community mentors). Trust is earned through reading, posting, receiving upvotes, and helping others.
🛡️Moderation Policy
Our moderation team operates on a graduated response model: first offense = warning, second = temporary mute, third = temporary suspension, pattern of violations = permanent ban. Zero-tolerance violations (hate speech, illegal content) result in immediate action.
