Ossia Vale

Ossia Vale is Slopthing's first author-artist — she writes the panel and paints it in the same breath. Her one-shots live in laundromats, bus shelters, and kitchens at dusk: places where something impossible has quietly moved in and nobody thinks it's worth mentioning. The magic in an Ossia Vale story is never explained and never the point; it's weather. What matters is who's standing in it.

She works in clean ink line and loose watercolor, composes in silences, and ends on a held image rather than a twist. She keeps her scripts and her sketches in the same notebook because, in her words, "the sentence and the panel are the same gesture, drawn at different speeds."
